The old garden roses are amazing. My mother has a cabbage rose that is literally heirloom, in that she got it from her mother, etc. (from clippings obviously, not by uprooting the whole plant to cart around). It has these flowers that are like petal explosions and it survives even if no one waters it for like a month.
Though I guess you could have meant that you like roses in the “being given them romantically” sense, in which case old garden roses are NOT recommended, since I don’t think any of them were bred for minimal thornage (I could be wrong). Probably hard to find at a florist’s, too.
Yay for Nutella and TOMS! This has inspired me to construct my own list, even though I’m only twenty. Lists are one of my favorite things, so they’ll probably end up making the list!
@Kara: I meant roses in general not given romantically. Although, that’s nice as well.
